Dion Hartley

Dion is a Key Grip and managing director of Filmtec NZ Ltd. He has worked in the grip area of the New Zealand Film and Television industry for many years. 

Dion has designed and fabricated rigs for the grip and special effects departments and has an extensive background in engineering. He is a qualified Fitter and Turner with more than ten years experience, as well as being a qualified Commercial Diver specializing in underwater welding and vessel salvage. Dion has an excellent knowledge of motion control, motion control rigs and software.

With a natural ability to think laterally and combined with a positive and inspirational leadership style, Dion is able to solve the most demanding problem.
